Meet Dr. K

Welcome to GoodBrain.com.

Most of you reading this are likely my current or past clients or their family members. That’s great, because this site is mainly for you.

I’ve created it to support families of children who are worried, nervous, scared or anxious. It’s designed to provide information—or to reinforce what we’ve discussed—about understanding and coping with anxiety and OCD.

As a Clinical Psychologist in private practice with children, adolescents, and their parents since 1993, I specialize in treating anxiety disorders using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques, including exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy.

I am passionate about teaching coping skills to anxious children, and I have co-developed two apps to help children calm their brains and face their fears. Most recently, I created an animation piece to explain in simple terms how the brain works and how it reacts to fear. I’m pleased to provide these effective and supportive tools free (animation) and at minimal cost (apps).

I am devoted to helping young people deal with anxiety disorders, and I trust you will find this website helpful. And, always remember, I am just a phone call away.
